SOCIAL IMPACT PLATFORM TICKR APPOINTS MHP TO PR BRIEF

Tickr, a fintech business that enables people to invest in companies that drive positive social impact, has appointed MHP Communications as its retained PR adviser.

Tickr, one of the newest fintechs to emerge in London, enables people to invest in companies that strive to solve some of the most critical issues facing today’s society, including climate change, the ageing population and gender equality.

MHP will work with the team to drive awareness of the difference that ordinary investors can make if they invest with social impact in mind. In doing so, it will demonstrate how Tickr makes this process easy and cuts through existing complexity in the financial services industry.

The account will be led by Mike Robb, MHP’s head of financial services, reporting to Tickr co-founder, Tom McGillycuddy.

Mike Robb, managing director and head of financial services at MHP, says, “More than any other industry, financial services have a central role to play in addressing some of the biggest challenges society faces today. But for too long this has been confined to institutional investors, which is why Tickr is such an exciting proposition, enabling ordinary people to put their savings to work to do good. We are incredibly excited to be working with Tom and the team to grow their profile and drive as many people to Tickr as possible.”

McGillycuddy adds, “The world today has some big problems and we enable retail investors to use their money to support businesses that are working to solve them, while also delivering sustainable returns on their investment. This is a story that has not cut-through with the everyday consumer to date and we want to be at the forefront of making this a reality. MHP demonstrated they had the ideas, financial services experience and belief in what we are trying to achieve that makes them the ideal partner for us as we grow.”

MHP has more than 50 clients across the financial services industry including banks, asset managers, insurers, payments providers and a number of fintech firms.

The win is the latest for MHP’s financial services team under Robb's leadership. Other recent wins include Nationwide, ING and London & Capital.
