PERQ STUDIO REIMAGINES BRANDS FOR THE DIGITAL AGE

A new brand and design consultancy, Perq Studio, has launched to reimagine customer-first brands first for a digital age. Founded by Laura Giffard and ex-Bandstand creative director, Mark Smith, Perq Studio launches with clients including Bliss, H. Bronnley & Co. and Solomon & Wu.

Previously creative director at Bandstand, Smith was instrumental in its growth, started with five people in Shoreditch seven years ago. Grounding creative output in strong strategic thought, he worked with the likes of LinkedIn, Jo Malone, Clinique, Land Securities, giffgaff and National Express. Smith also delivered place making strategies for world-leading destinations such as Carnaby Street, Saville Row and Victoria, London.

Prior to founding Perq Studio, Giffard held senior roles at Parker Williams, Beyond Communications and Earnest, developing strategy and delivering brand, design and marketing solutions for the likes of Google, Sanctuary Spa, Kaspersky Lab, British Heart Foundation, L’Oréal and Ellandi.

Smith says, “We created Perq Studio to do things differently, ‘reimagining’ brands for the digital age. Integrated customer experience is key – the boundaries between products, services and environments have blurred; we want to work with brands to understand how this new reality looks within their business, using cross-disciplinary collaboration to sculpt a compelling customer journey, supported by an authentic ‘voice’ and emotional brand storytelling.”

“A compelling customer journey is an enormous competitive advantage for any brand but requires a continued focus on, and understanding of, the needs and desires of customers, with agile design allowing any transformation to take place fluidly,” says Smith.

Giffard says, “Brands must seek to be customer first for the digital age we operate in, embracing a human-to-human approach, forgetting tired categorisations and eliminating siloed channel thinking. It’s time to acknowledge the ongoing transformation in the way we consume media, the unavoidable crossover of messages on multiple channels and the impact of continuous advancements in technology. We look forward to working with brands to create better businesses that are fit for the future.”

With a brand beacon of ‘do it well’, Perq Studio commits to championing better business practices right across its interactions and operations. Vowing to set the standard within the industry, the consultancy is driven by a desire to ensure its contribution to the world is positive.
