VALUE AND VERSATILITY: CORPORATE VIDEO FOR INTERNAL COMMS

Corporate video is swiftly becoming a fact of life for most internal communicators. There’s almost unanimous agreement from those companies that use video for the internal audience that there is no easy or one-size-fits-all approach. On Tuesday 3 March, Communicate magazine will be hosting a half-morning conference looking at the role of video for internal communications.

This event will look at real examples from communications teams using video to engage their employees. Communicate magazine will also be presenting some qualitative and quantitative research conducted at the end of 2014 among the internal communications community.

The conference will discuss the role of employee-generated video and the ability of technology to share content production capabilities with a company’s workforce. Speakers on that session include Alex Flahive, digital manager at Manchester Fire & Rescue Services and Malcolm Padley, communications director at Rentokil. Focus will then turn to the professionalisation of internal video and the versatility of online platforms. Speakers for those discussions include Jenny Varley, MD, HSBC Now and conference sponsors Kontiki.

Mike Merit, VP of customer success at Kontiki, says, “Video within the enterprise is seeing explosive growth. Our customers alone saw an 100% increase in live video usage in the past year. While these numbers are impressive, it shouldn’t be surprising given the similar growth with consumer video. Digital video has become a daily part of our lives because it is such an engaging medium. It’s natural for employees to expect the same experience within the enterprise.”

The conference will operate a tiered pricing system – the first 10 people to book will be able to book for free. The following 10 people will be charged £10. The next 10 will be charged £20, the following £30 and so on. Book your places quickly! We’ll cap the top amount at £50.
