LENS: PROCTOR & GAMBLE
To celebrate Black Business Month this August, Proctor & Gamble released a series of videos sharing the story of its black-owned external business partners.
P&G utilised the opportunity to celebrate Black Business month by providing a platform for black-owned external business partners that share a commitment to Equality & Inclusion. Following an interview and docuseries format, each video puts a different business and its employees at the front and centre of the campaign.
The video series works educate viewers about the different ways black-owned businesses are working to inspire change. Melvin Gravely, CEO of TriVersity Construction, the largest minority contractor in the history of Cincinnati, talks frankly to the camera about his duty to reinvest in the community to ensure diversity and equal opportunity.
In another video, Carl Satterwhite, owner of RCF Group shared the reasons he is so passionate about the role corporations play in developing diverse talent. Both Gravely and Satterwhite currently sit on P&G’s Supplier Diversity Advisory Council.
The campaign aims to spark conversation both internally in the P&G community, but also among external stakeholders and the consumer audience.
The videos have been released throughout August on digital and social channels.
