She is a chartered accountant with close to 20 years of experience in technical financial reporting including forensic accountancy, professional training and being a subject matter expert. Most recently, she spent seven years as a Project Director at the Financial Reporting Council, overseeing the delivery of several high-profile corporate governance and reporting regulatory projects. She has extensive experience of working at executive and board level across organisations of all types and sizes. 

Helen Baker

Helen is an experienced Chartered Secretary/Chartered Governance Professional with a background in the secretariats of large listed international groups. She joined Coca-Cola European Partners plc in July 2017 as Head of Secretariat. Prior to that she worked for Legal & General, WS Atkins plc and National Grid. Helen has been involved in the production of the annual report throughout her company secretarial career, covering the full range of roles associated with the process from project management to drafting content, and from proofreading to running verification processes.

Tom Bell

Tom is a crisis & resilience expert, he leads the agency’s corporate reputation practice.

He joined MSL in February 2017 after three and a half years running his own business. Prior to that he worked at Ogilvy Public Relations where he oversaw public affairs, communications strategies, crisis communications and function capacity building for a diverse range of clients from multiple sectors.

He has worked on campaigns and in political offices on both sides of the Atlantic including House of Commons (Rt Hon Ben Bradshaw MP), the US Senate (Senator Ted Kennedy) and the 2004 US Presidential campaign (Former US SoS John Kerry).

Tom has deep experience working on corporate, political, stakeholder and crisis management projects. He has overseen crisis programmes for major property developers, government entities, insurers and manufacturers.

Tom has more than 15 years of experience in public affairs, public relations and cultural communications. He holds a 1st class BA (Hons) degree in Politics and Parliamentary Studies.

Phil became Director of the Financial Reporting Lab in 2017. He is a Chartered Accountant in the UK with over 20 years of experience in accounting and audit. He has worked for the Financial Reporting Council since 2009 and was previously the Head of Case Examination and Enquiries.

Phil started his career in the audit practice of KPMG where he spent ten years, the latter half of which he worked as a senior manager in the firm’s professional practice department.

Mark leads PwC’s Corporate Reporting and Governance team here in the UK. He oversees PwC’s annual review of the corporate reporting practices in the FTSE 350 and is responsible for the firm’s excellence in reporting in the FTSE 100 and 250 and Governance awards at their annual Building Public Trust Awards.
With over a decade of experience in advising many leading organisations on current and best practices in reporting, he also sits on the ICAS Corporate Reporting Committee and has worked with the International Integrated Reporting Council, leading PwCs role in designing, developing and hosting their Pilot Programme conferences.

Born in Sweden, but having lived all over the world, Louise is on a constant chase to see new cultures and just reached 55 visited countries.
