MOVING TARGETS

Each month, we ask a design agency to represent in graphics the results of a recent comms survey.

Tech PR consultancy Whiteoaks questioned over 150 decision-makers in the PR marketplace on how the face of communications is changing. ‘It’s clear that expectations are shifting on both sides,’ says MD James Kelliher. ‘We’d had a lot of anecdotal evidence to support that, but the results confirmed it.’
Graphic designers Solution Group illustrated the results of the survey in these infographics, demonstrating that there’s still a wide variety of audiences that PR activity engages with, and that it’s still predominantly affecting perceptions of thought-leadership, brand, and solutions.

‘PR has an opportunity to position itself as a strategic discipline, but at the moment the focus on outputs, rather than outcomes, is hindering that,’ says Kelliher. ‘Multiple tools for reaching an audience can help with that. The world is changing right now – and PR needs to do the same.’
