EVCOM FELLOWSHIP AWARDS 2025 CELEBRATES INDUSTRY LEADERS
The 2025 EVCOM Fellowship Awards took place at the House of Lords yesterday, honouring four influential leaders in live and visual communications.
The Event and Visual Communication Association's (EVCOM) Fellowship Awards brought together senior figures, clients and supporters from across the industry, including The Edge, DRPG, NRG Studios, Moving Image, IMPACT XM and Cvent, to celebrate those shaping the future of the sector.
EVCOM executive director Kai Duggal opened the ceremony by highlighting the power of storytelling and its cultural impact. "The stories we tell, the experiences we create — they help organisations engage and move people," Duggal said.
This year’s honourees included Des Good, who received the Lifetime Achievement Award, presented by EVCOM Chair Andrew Smith; Rick Stainton, named Live Events Fellow by DRPG CEO Dale Parmenter; Sonal Patel, honoured as Film Fellow by Sir Alan Parker; and Mariella Frostrup, awarded Communications Fellow for her advocacy work, introduced by JJ, Founder of Performing Artistes.
During the ceremony, the honourees reflected on the key relationships, mentors and milestones that shaped their careers. The event was designed to highlight the growing influence of communications professionals in shaping public narratives and culture.
EVCOM Chair Andrew Smith called it “one of the best Fellowship Awards I have ever attended,” adding that it was an honour to recognise the Fellows.
