JAPAN HOSTS GLOBAL MEDIA LEADERS AT BRIDGE OSAKA
The event marks the third stop in the BRIDGE roadshow, following New York and London.
Japan hosted the latest stop of the UAE-led BRIDGE roadshow this week at Expo 2025 Osaka, bringing together media executives, policymakers and technologists to discuss the future of media, artificial intelligence and digital regulation.
The event, part of a global series organised by the UAE's National Media Office, included speakers from Thomson Reuters, WPP and Japanese AI firm ARAYA. Discussions focused on misinformation, cross-cultural communication and the ethical risks of emerging technologies.
Insights from the session will feed into the BRIDGE Summit in Abu Dhabi this December, where participants are expected to propose a shared framework for international media cooperation.
Critics have questioned whether the initiative will produce concrete outcomes, while organisers say it aims to encourage dialogue amid rising geopolitical and technological fragmentation.
