ELLEN MACARTHUR FOUNDATION WELCOMES DRAGON ROUGE AS KNOWLEDGE PARTNER

Dragon Rouge has been appointed as a strategic communications knowledge partner to the Ellen Macarthur Foundation.

The Ellen MacArthur Foundation was launched in 2010 to accelerate the transition to a circular economy. Since its creation the charity has emerged as a global thought leader, establishing the circular economy on the agenda of decision makers across business, government and academia.

Dragon Rouge is an independent global design and innovation consultancy which helps businesses and brands inspire, change and grow. By blending insight, foresight and creativity the consultancy helps its clients create new brands, reignite existing brands and develop exceptional customer experiences.

As a knowledge partner, Dragon Rouge will support the foundation with research and advice in strategic communications and brand strategy, to ensure that circular economy messages inform, resonate and inspire.

This new partnership builds on successful early collaboration between the two organisations via CE100 membership, and more recently through strategic communications research into positioning and messaging of the circular economy, and how best to support growth of circular economy knowledge and understanding within organisations.

“We are thrilled to be contributing to the foundation’s work. Engaging organisations, their customers and end consumers in the benefits, new behaviours and opportunities related to circular economy approaches is a vital part of changing how we live and ultimately how our economy works," says Dorothy Mackenzie, chair of Dragon Rouge.

Andrew Morlet, chief executive of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, adds, "We are delighted to welcome Dragon Rouge as a strategic communications knowledge partner to the Ellen MacArthur Foundation. We look forward to working together as we raise the ambition and collective efforts of our network to develop and promote the concept of a circular economy and its global adoption.”

The partnership will encompass further collaboration across the foundation’s programmes and projects, including the 'Make Fashion Circular' initiative which brings together leaders from across the fashion industry to stimulate collaboration and innovation necessary to create a new textiles economy aligned with the principles of the circular economy.
