MHP APPOINTED BY SHIPPING TECH FIRM TO DIGITALLY TRANSFORM THE SECTOR

Engine | MHP has been appointed by Maritech Services, a new entrant to the shipping industry, to support the digital transformation of the sector.

Maritech – a subsidiary of FTSE 250-listed Clarksons Group – engaged MHP following a competitive pitch, to help launch its new digital platform, Sea/.

Sea/ is set to revolutionise the way that shipping professionals collaborate during the transaction process of global freight movement. It brings together charterers, brokers, traders, analysts, ship owners and ship operators to unlock the power of data, achieve efficiencies, build intelligence and futureproof for incoming regulations.

The MHP team – led by deputy CEO Nick Barron – will be responsible for reputation management, brand strategy, thought leadership and media relations.

The win is the latest in a long list of new tech clients for MHP. Another is Revolut, which appointed MHP earlier this year as its strategic communications partner to support its international expansion. MHP also works with Youtility, the money-saving app, and urban mobility app, FreeNow (formerly mytaxi).

Barron says, “The launch of Sea/ is a defining moment in the history of the shipping sector. The new platform will revolutionise the way shipping professionals across the world work, putting Maritech Services centre stage of the sector’s digital transformation. They have a fantastic story to tell and we can’t wait to tell it in the most compelling way possible.”
