Rob Colmer, has been appointed as the vice-chairman of the PRCA’s PR and Communications Council 2021.

Colmer’s appointment follows an election process among council members. He brings extensive public relations experience from working both in-house and in consultancy, in the private and public sector, at an SME and a multinational company. Since 2002 he has worked at Shell in a variety of roles. He currently leads Shell’s global sustainability communications and reporting.
 
In his winning manifesto, Colmer emphasised the need to support the PR industry in recovery, pushing diversity and inclusiveness and driving standards of professionalism.
 
Colmer says, “I’m honoured to have the opportunity to support the public relations profession, particularly at such a challenging point in time. With close to 100,000 people working in this sector, the PRCA is committed to addressing the immediate challenges from the Covid-19 pandemic and supporting the continued growth and success of the PR industry.”
