VORBOSS LAUNCHES CORPORATE AFFAIRS TEAM

London-based business fibre network Vorboss has launched a new corporate affairs team amid “increasingly complex” regulatory environment.

London-based business fibre network Vorboss is hoping to bolster its new corporate affairs team amid a regulatory and policy environment which is “increasingly complex”, according to chief corporate affairs officer James Fredrickson.

Joining the team, led by Fredrickson, will be Casey Calista as head of policy and public affairs, having previously worked on technology public affairs at London’s Hill & Knowlton. Casey is also chair of Labour Digital. Also joining is Laura Holdgate as head of regulatory affairs, having previously worked on telecoms policy for Which?

Howard Jones has been appointed to head of communications, having previously worked at EE, BT, Vodafone and Hyperoptic.

Fredickson says: “We’re building a team that has the knowledge, skill and experience to guide us through what is becoming an increasingly complex regulatory and policy environment.

“Recent policy discussion has focused almost entirely on enabling gigabit-capable broadband,” he continues. “Whilst that is laudable as a nation-wide goal, the business connectivity market has very different needs.

“Now that cloud-enabled data sharing underpins even basic work tasks, resilient, dedicated high bandwidth is fundamental to business activity, and critical to the UK’s economic success.”

Earlier this month, Vorboss announced the appointment of David Gilbey as chief financial officer.
