ORGANIC APPOINTS CHRISTINA JOYCE

Organic, the multi award-winning film and television PR arm of Target Group, Havas Media Group’s specialist culture, gaming, film and television offering, announced the appointment of senior television publicity specialist Christina Joyce as senior consultant, to strengthen the agency’s footprint within the UK and international television market and streaming space.

Former executive director at Premier PR, Joyce was responsible for building and overseeing the agency’s successful television department. Having left Premier in the summer of 2019 to set up her own agency, XXIV Communications, Joyce has been brought on board by Organic, bringing with her over 20 years of experience and relationships, to grow and oversee the agency’s existing proposition and enhance their expertise in the television sector.

Joyce has built a reputation for her strategic and creative approach with a breadth and depth of experience across corporate comms and full-service programme PR both agency-side and in-house, having started out as a publicist at the BBC. She has spearheaded a broad range of cross-genre campaigns from niche documentaries and children’s programming through to flagship entertainment shows.

Recently the agency has also secured three significant new business wins. The first was a competitive pitch to handle year-round PR for the Edinburgh TV Festival and TV Foundation which supports emerging talent to promote a diverse future for the industry.

Organic’s social media team has been retained to work with UKTV’s history and documentary channel, Yesterday, on ongoing strategy and channel management.

Organic’s managing director Caragh Cook says, “We are thrilled that Christina has joined us. She is so highly regarded, and her knowledge of the television industry is hugely impressive. She is brimming with ideas and has a passion and energy which will see her fit in very well at Organic. I look forward to working with Christina to build on the experience we already have within the team across UK publicity, international and social, to create something truly special.

This appointment further strengthens a team that includes account director Thom Will who joined Organic at the start of 2019 from IJPR where he led the campaigns for BBC dramas.

The news of this appointment follows the recent opening of an office in LA and sees Organic consolidate and bolster its capabilities to offer a fully integrated service to the wider film and TV industries on a global level.
