PROMOTIONS FOR FOUR’S SENIOR CULTURE TEAM

Integrated communications and marketing agency Four Communications has promoted a number of directors in its specialist culture team as part of a restructure of the agency.

Dotti Irving who is currently chief executive, culture will continue in this role and will also take on an additional role working with senior colleagues across the group as co-chair of Four’s place taskforce. The taskforce is creating a new international data-driven communications and marketing service to support placemaking campaigns, harnessing the agency’s sector strengths in tourism, culture and property. Irving first joined the Four team as CEO of Colman Getty, the leading cultural agency which was acquired by Four in 2012. Irving will continue to work with a range of top notch cultural clients, including the Booker Prize Foundation, Wembley Park and Pan Macmillan. 

At the same time Truda Spruyt and Matt Railton become joint managing directors, culture. Spruyt has extensive experience of managing complex multi-stakeholder projects and of directing strategic campaigns such as Jerwood Arts, the Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation and the International Booker Prize. Spruyt will take responsibility for culture clients and campaigns in the new structure. Railton who is currently creative director, culture has a track record in creating creative strategies for award-winning campaigns including Clore Leadership, Estuary 2020, John Hansard Gallery and the Lowry. Railton will take specific responsibility for placemaking clients and programmes.

Laura Steele, who joined the culture team in 2016, is promoted to account director and will continue to work on a number of the agency’s key clients including the Cliveden Literary Festival and Wordsworth’s 250th anniversary year in 2020. 

Four recently announced a reorganisation of the business from 17 practices to seven multi-service business units. The specialist culture team sits within a new 50-strong lifestyle unit alongside teams specialising in travel and tourism, retail, luxury and consumer brands.
