FOURTOLD APPOINTS MD TO DEVELOP ITS BRUSSELS-BASED EU OFFER

Integrated strategic communications consultancy Fourtold, has recruited Omar Mockbil as managing director of its EU advocacy comms business in Brussels.

Mockbil, a Swedish national, will lead Fourtold’s expanding Brussels team and integrate with Fourtold’s wider team in the UK, Germany, and the U.S.

His arrival further expands Fourtold’s team following the appointments, over the past 18 months, of director, Christina Fee, consultants Kevin Butler (promoted this week to senior consultant) and Tomas Vitas, and graduate consultant Lydia Welham. Interns Aysenaz Güneri and Alice Durant have also just joined the team.

Mockbil joins Fourtold from Hill+Knowlton Strategies’ Brussels team and brings extensive EU expertise which will further strengthen Fourtold’s senior leadership. He has previously represented clients on such issues as AI and digitisation, diversity & inclusion, the circular economy, and sustainability.

Mockbil’s remit is to lead the Brussels team in helping further grow the existing science, health and technology client base, drive new business, and attract and nurture the best talent. He will help build on the consultancy’s growing reputation for integrated advocacy and communications work with global organisations – including Vodafone, PepsiCo, Healthy Europe, CropLife Europe and Brewers of Europe.

Managing partner of Fourtold, Debbie Parriss, says, “Omar’s experience and client track record in integrated communications comes at a time of real opportunity for us. We are experiencing significant growth at the moment, from clients who want the reassurance of the consistent involvement of senior staff with global agency experience but without the same price tag."
