Lazard announced that Poppy Trowbridge has joined the firm as senior vice president of communications for Investment Banking in the United Kingdom.

Based in London, Ms. Trowbridge will also serve as a member of the firm’s Global Communications team.She has worked for the past 15 years in London as a leading communications consultant, strategist and journalist. Since 2019, she was an independent consultant to businesses and boards of directors advising on strategic positioning, public and regulatory affairs, and corporate branding. 

From 2016 to 2019, Ms. Trowbridge was special advisor to the Chancellor of the Exchequer at HM Treasury, serving as director of communications from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that she was a business and economics correspondent for four years at Sky News and for six years previously at Bloomberg News. Ms. Trowbridge earned an MSc Media and Communications at the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a BA in Linguistics, First Class, at the University of Ottawa.
