EX-NATIONWIDE COMMS DIRECTOR TO JOIN THE JOCKEY CLUB EXECUTIVE TEAM

Stuart Williamson is being hired to The Jockey Club’s executive team, following his post as Director of Communications at Nationwide.

Ex-Nationwide Director of Communications, Stuart Williamson, is joining The Jockey Club as Chief Corporate Affairs Officer. The Jockey Club is the largest employer in Britain’s second-biggest sport.

At Nationwide Building Society, Williamson was responsible for internal and external communication and reputation management, advising the CEO, Executive, Chair and Board.

Williamson will take up his new post at The Jockey Club on Monday, 26th September, where he will oversee external and internal communications and reputation management. He will report to Chief Executive Nevin Truesdale.

Truesdale says: “Stuart’s experience at Nationwide will be valuable in helping to advise The Jockey Club’s Executive and Board on strategic decision making that helps us to live up to our mission to act for the long-term benefit of British Racing, as well as how to communicate to the wide variety of audiences who matter to us.”

The Jockey Club stages many British horse racing events, such as Cheltenham Festival, the Randox Grand National and the Cazoo Derby.
