HOTWIRE ANNOUNCES NEW MD OF CONTINENTAL EUROPE

Ute Hildebrandt, current MD of Hotwire Germany, moves into a new leadership role to strengthen European offering.

Hotwire, the leading global technology communications consultancy part of Enero Group, has announced an update to its leadership team, naming Ute Hildebrandt as managing director of a newly created Continental European organization. With this update, Hotwire brings together more than 100 experts in technology communications and marketing across Germany, France, Spain and Italy to meet new opportunities and the next stage of growth.

Hildebrandt, current MD of Hotwire Germany, will be stepping into the role, continuing her responsibilities and leadership of the German office. The wider Continental European leadership team will consist of Ludi Garcia, MD Spain, Virginie Puchaux, MD France and Beatrice Agostinacchio, MD Italy. Hildebrandt will oversee the team in her new role and grow the existing European offering to deliver a consistent global offer, working across brands including Atlassian, Digitall, Klarna and Wallapop.

The transformation comes as technology investment increases significantly across Europe. It’s the fastest-growing major region by venture capital investment – outpacing both the US and China – with startup funds growing by 2.9x Year on Year to €49 billion in the first six months of 2021 alone. Following London, Paris has the highest growth in unicorns, with startup funds growing by 2.1x YoY in the first half of 2021 to €3.2 billion, followed by Munich, Madrid and Berlin.

“There’s been a noticeable shift in how a number of our tech clients are operating when they look at the UK and Continental Europe. Over the past year, we have seen more innovation and tech headquarters going into key European cities such as Berlin, Paris, Madrid, and an unprecedented level of VC investment in Europe,” Hildebrandt says.

The announcement will also provide exciting opportunities for Hotwire employees’ and their career development across Europe, creating new and different roles.

“Our plan will allow us to open up exciting new career paths for employees, provide opportunities to develop their own skillsets to facilitate new services and most importantly, give employees the ability to take on different roles to build their future with us at Hotwire” Hildebrant adds.

Global CEO of Hotwire, Heather Kernahan says, “Ute has demonstrated incredible leadership in her role as the MD of Hotwire Germany and we’re excited to see her replicate this success and transform the European business. We have no doubt that under her guidance, the organization will unlock new possibilities and push Hotwire to even greater heights.”
