Zinc Media Group is set to acquire The Edge Picture Company, subject to Zinc shareholder approval

TV and brand film production company Zinc Media Group has announced the acquisition of global brand and corporate film production agency, The Edge Picture Company.

The acquisition is hoped to bring advantages to business and clients, such as a wider product portfolio for telling brand stories through film and audio, and a more international reach.  

Zinc Media Goup CEO, Mark Browning, says: “The Edge is a truly impressive business; highly respected and sustainably profitable with a world-class reputation. We are thrilled that it is joining the Group. The Edge will sit alongside Zinc Communicate, our branded entertainment, corporate film, publishing and audio business, and our award-winning TV businesses.

“It will enable us to increase our content offering in the marketplace, both on a domestic and international level, and move into new content markets including animation, e-learning and education.” 

The Edge, operating from offices in London and Qatar, gains over half of its turnover from outside the UK and has longstanding relationships with companies such as BT Group and FIFA. Under the deal, the company will operate in line with other companies wholly owned by Zinc Media Group, continuing under the same management team from their current offices.

The Edge will join Zinc Media Group at the end of August, subject to approval from Zinc shareholders.
