Communicate magazine has launched “Words of Wisdom”, an embedded AudioBoo player that runs 30 second interviews with leading opinion formers from the corporate communications world.

The new tool is an exciting and unique addition Communicate’s website, and will broadcast audio interviews with the leading communicators. The interviews will be grouped together on Communicate magazine’s home page in a specially-designed player developed by AudioBoo, the audio microblogging social media service. Each interviewee will have the chance to provide a 30 second soundbite on a topic of interest to Communicate’s readers. Within seconds of the interview taking place it will be captioned and online. Communicate magazine have already posted a number of ‘boos’ including words of wisdom from Miriam McKay, head of IR at Man Group plc and Rachel Griffiths, deputy chief executive of the Association of Mutual Insurers.

Audioboo is a social media platform, launched earlier this year, that enables users to record & distribute audio recordings. High quality audio files can be recorded on a smartphone - currently iPhone only but moving to other devices soon - alongside additional information such as a photo, title, tags and location data.

Andrew Thomas, publisher of Communicate magazine commented “Launching ‘Words of Wisdom’ gives us an opportunity to get our readers one stage closer to the subjects on which we write. Our editorial staff are constantly meeting and interviewing some really inspirational people. This is a great way of getting them to share some of their thoughts, and the immediacy of the AudioBoo process provides our readers with constantly updated content.”
