CATCH22 TAKES TOP SPOT FOR BRAND DEVELOPMENT AT THE THIRD SECTOR AWARDS.

Young people’s charity, Catch22, formed by the merger of the Rainer and Crime Concern charities last year, won the top spot in the Brand Development category at the Third Sector awards.

The awards, organised by Third Sector magazine, saw Catch 22 beat off stiff competition from Action for Children, itself winner of many awards for its own rebrand. Other nominees included Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, Felton Communication, Fire Fighters Charity, HelpAge International and the Scout Association.

Commenting on Catch22’s rebrand, David Jenkinson, creative director of Interbrand, said: “It is unapologetic, raw and gritty, and gets to the heart of the issue. It stands out and has a strong tone of voice.”

Max du Bois, executive director of Spencer du Bois, agreed, saying: “It’s a really impactful rebrand. It’s bright, smart, ballsy and punchy. It captures my imagination. It makes good use of language, and it tackles an issue that nobody has tackled successfully yet.”
