COMMUNICATE LAUNCHES MONTHLY FOCUS ON GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENTS

A new monthly focus on individual UK government departments promises to help corporate communicators engage with the Coalition.

The Briefing, from Communicate magazine, aims to be an assist corporate communications practitioners who need to understand forthcoming policy agendas, key decision makers and influencers, and overviews of each government department.

The new series, is sponsored by Insight Public Affairs, a public affairs and public relations agency specialising in political strategy and media relations.

The first two Briefings look at the Department for Education (DfE), and the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG).

"There are many corporate communicators who are not necessarily from a public affairs background who need to know how new government policy will affect them, and with whom from those departments they need to engage. We hope The Briefing will help", said Andrew Thomas, publisher of Communicate magazine.

The Briefing will be constantly updated to reflect new initiatives or any change in key personnel.
