FUTURE COMMUNICATION TRENDS
The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, located near St James’ Park, London, is a ministerial department of the UK government, oriented around creating and sustaining economic growth.
With its integral role in UK business creation and development, it seems an apt setting for the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) to hold its May conference.
‘Future fit communications: Connecting trends, strategies and actions’ is a half-day event taking place on 16 May, 13:30-18:00.
Focusing on how communications professionals can use forecast trends to readily prepare for the future business environment, attendance is a must for anyone involved in the internal communications industry.
With a main focus on ‘connecting’, fostering the potential relationships between communications professionals and corporate industries is an integral part of the IABC philosophy. The conference thus covers all manner of communications touchpoints – including current and emerging business trends, and how communications professionals can adapt and implement new ideas into their own business.
Confirmed presenters at the Future Fit Communications conference include Ashish Babu, director of communications for UK and Europe, Tata Consultancy Services, Una O’Sullivan, head of internal communications for global financial services, KPMG, and Andy Gibson, author of A Mind For Business.
Individual, sharing and group speaker sessions are also on the agenda, offering attendees the chance be involved in discussions encompassing a range of stakeholders and corporations.
The event will culminate in drinks, with the chance to network with likeminded communications professionals.
