DESIGN BRIDGE IS MERGING WITH SUPERUNION
Agencies Design Bridge and Superunion are merging, marrying ‘the best of both’.
Agencies Design Bridge and Superunion are merging to form a single design company which will launch in January next year, WPP has announced.
New company Design Bridge and Partners will have offices worldwide, with the aspiration of combining expertise and client bases, and to bring together specialists in brand strategy.
Design Bridge CEO, John Morris, will continue as CEO of the new business, while Jim Prior, CEO of agencies Superunion and The Partners, will join as chair.
The two agencies will continue to work as separate entities until the end of the year. The full management team and creative leadership of Design Bridge and Partners is yet to be announced and will comprise current leaders from Design Bridge and Superunion.
It is hoped that the merger will create new growth opportunities for existing talent, such as working with a broader range of clients and increased mobility across a larger global company.
Morris says: “It’s absolutely fantastic to be able to bring together two creative powerhouses, marrying ‘the best of both’ to offer shared expertise and, importantly, many more opportunities for our people to grow.”
Prior anticipates “extraordinary results” for clients.
The move follows the mergers of other WPP agencies to create AKQA Group, BCW, EssenceMediacom, VMLY&R, Wunderman Thompson and most recently FGS Global.
