GETTY IMAGES IS LAUNCHING GOOGLE TRENDS-STYLE TOOL THAT ALLOWS USERS TO ANALYSE OVER 2.5 BILLION IMAGE RELATED SEARCH QUERIES
VisualGPS Insights is anticipated to help businesses make more informed decisions over visual content.
Getty Images is releasing a new tool which is similar to Google Trends but for images, videos, and illustrations. Users can find data from over 2.5 billion annual searches and download queries from Getty Images and iStock.
According to Getty Images data, 63% of customers are not noticing an increase in diversity reflected in media compared to a year ago. The content company hopes that VisualGPS Insights will help businesses to choose visual content that appeals to more diverse audiences.
“We realised how many businesses and agencies were scared to get it wrong with their visual content.” Says Dr Rebecca Swift, Global Head of Creative Insights at Getty Images and iStock.
“Whether brands are looking to diversify image choices or find insights that magnify their marketing results, this tool will help businesses make more informed decisions.”
VisualGPS Insights allows Getty Images and iStock customers to see what imagery and topics over 750,000 brands globally are using to communicate with their audiences, in real time. The tool is an extension of VisualGPS, launched by Getty Images in 2019.
Data is presented to users through graphs, charts, and heat maps, representing respective industries, regions, and timeframes. Data on single terms, or a comparison of two terms, includes the interest over time, regional interest, and industry interest.
VisualGPS Insights is free to use for all Getty Images and iStock registered customers.
