THE VALUABLE 500 GROUP INTRODUCES MENTORING PROGRAMME
The Valuable 500 has announced its new mentorship programme
Global initiative The Valuable 500 has announced 28 early adopters of its new leadership mentoring programme for people with disabilities, named ‘Generation Valuable’.
The programme will pair participants with a mentor at C-Suite level within their organisation. The first cohort of 75 people will be announced on International Day for Persons with Disabilities, in December.
Channel 4 is an early adopter of the programme. Its CEO, Alex Mahon, commented: “We know that as an industry we have a serious lack of disabled people in senior decision-making roles. Generation Valuable will be a ground-breaking opportunity for disabled talent who are already established to be supported by some of the best executives across industry to progress to the next stage in their careers.
“At Channel 4, we are committed to acting as a force for good in the industry and are delighted to be able to support talented people of all backgrounds and lived experiences to progress.”
The programme was announced on the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act in the US last week.
