URBAN NETWORK DONATES £5000 TO CSR PARTNER ANDYSMANCLUB
Urban Network’s donation has helped the men’s mental health charity to expand in South-East England
Urban Network, a leading IT solutions provider, has announced men’s mental health charity ANDYSMANCLUB as their new Corporate Social Responsibility Partner (CSR).
This year, Urban Network has donated £5000 to ANDYSMANCLUB, a charity working to reduce the rate of male suicides in the UK. ANDYSMANCLUB has since expanded its presence in South-East England.
With men comprising 75% of suicides in England, Urban Network Chief Executive, Perry Ashby, believes that the issue of men’s mental health is vital, particularly within a predominantly male IT industry.
Mr Ashby says: ‘ANDYSMANCLUB provides a safe space where men can talk honestly without fear of judgement.’
An ANDYSMANSCLUB service user has described the group as ‘different’, saying: ‘It has been a huge help in making me feel better about life, where we can drop the bravado and break down boundaries about how men are allowed to act and feel.
‘Groups like this help to replace the isolation felt by a lot of men today.’
