SOCIAL NETWORKING TOOLS TAKING OFF IN THE WORKPLACE
Facebook and Twitter being used to develop business relationships
Two of the most high-profile social networking websites are crossing over into the workplace, according to new research from BT. However, while 10% of professionals claim to use Facebook and Twitter to develop professional relationships, many are left feeling overwhelmed by the volume of messages they receive – with a third admitting to being unsure of the best way to communicate.
According to the report, 15% of people aged 18 to 24 use social networking tools to manage customer relationships, six times more than people over-45.
