FINANCIAL TIMES TO SHRINK PRINT EDITION
Corporate communicators and investor relations officers may find media coverage harder to come by with the news that the Financial Times is to reduce its pagination.
A spokesperson for FT Group says that the move to a “marginally smaller” paper is the result of a new printing press format. The paper has recently transferred the majority of its UK printing from West Ferry to Bow.
Others suggest that the smaller size is a cost-cutting measure that reflects the depleted advertising market. It is said that the paper could be cut by as much as two pages per section, markedly reducing the volume of coverage that companies can expect.
