ONLY 4/10 WORKERS HAVE CONFIDENCE IN BUSINESS LEADERS
Are business leaders taking their people for granted?
A new survey conducted on behalf of Comma, the internal communications advisers, makes grim reading for embattled employers: it found that just four out of ten (42%) UK workers have confidence in the senior management where they work. Just a quarter (26%) of workers felt their employers were making more effort to involve than a year ago.
"In times of uncertainty people are looking for leadership," said Colette Dorward, Comma’s managing director. "There is a real opportunity for leaders right now to unite their people around the need for change, to give them context and rebuild confidence."
Despite the fact that there may be slim pickings on the job front elsewhere, the survey also found that only one in five workers were feeling more committed to their employers than a year ago.
