NEW TWITTER GROUPS BRING JOURNALISTS AND PRS TOGETHER
Parker, Wayne & Kent Public Relations is running an experiment that tries to structure communications between journalists and PR professionals via Twitter.
Hacktweets.com offers a list of private Twitter groups so journalists can interface with PRs - all in 140 characters.
Some 22% of journalists are said to be registered with Twitter. The general concept of Hacktweets.com is that journalists can ask questions and PR people can answer them. If other journalists have answers or sources, it can act as a forum for them to @reply or Direct Message the querying journalist.
