SEQUEL WINS BIG AT INTERNAL COMMS AWARDS
Internal comms agency Sequel Group has celebrated its first anniversary with a hat-trick of awards at the inaugural Institute of Internal Communication (IoIC) awards last week.
The event was the IoIC’s first since changing its name from the Communicators in Business (CiB) in May.
And with 480 entries, competition was stiff. Gold Award winners included Transforming B&Q (praised for their “meticulous planning and execution”), and IPR Connect (scoring highly for its intranet).
But the Sequel Group was the big hitter of the evening, winning three out of a possible seven awards. Among its accolades was Best Digital Media Design for its ‘Purple World’ project for Cadbury, a bi-monthly interactive microsite. Joining the Sequel Group in celebration was Pressgang, awarded for both Best newsletter/newspaper design and Best redesigned magazine/newsmagazine.
The Awards season is not yet over for the IoIC, as it launches the Communicator of the Year Awards 2010, taking place on 26 November. The COTY Awards celebrate “high levels of professional attainment and consistent achievement in individuals and teams, rather than focusing simply on one publication, project or campaign”.
Events director Suzanne Peck comments: “These awards spotlight the skills, enthusiasm and determination that really make internal communicators stand out, add value and contribute significantly to organisational performance.”
Entries are now being accepted.
