MEASURED SUCCESS AT THE AMEC AWARDS
The AMEC Communication Effectiveness Awards took place last night in central London. AMEC’s annual awards celebrate the importance of media measurement and evaluation to successful communications.
Hill & Knowlton Communications and the Ex Libris Agency were the big winners of the night, picking up the Judges’ Platinum Award and the International Members’ Award respectively, as well as collecting Gold in their individual categories. Another significant winner was Echo Research, who won a total of six awards. The event comes after a milestone year for AMEC which saw the launch of the Barcelona Principles. The Principles, designed to replace old monitoring systems such as AVE, are envisaged as a practical initiative for the evaluation industry. Barry Leggetter, executive director of AMEC, has described as not an end point, but rather a big step forward for AMEC members around the world.
