CIPR FORMS ALLIANCE WITH ASSOCIATION OF POLICE COMMUNICATORS
Communicators in UK police forces will be able to access greater resources and career development opportunities, under a new link between the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and the Association of Police Communicators (APComm).
An alliance with the CIPR promises to offer APComm members professional development, career progression and networking opportunities, plus access to resources covering policy, best practice and thought leadership.
“Police communicators do a valuable frontline job and I welcome them warmly to the CIPR,” said CIPR CEO Jane Wilson. “We recognise the opportunity this presents to strengthen our voice, increase our reach and improve opportunities for sharing and developing best practice across the PR profession.”
Anne Campbell, chair of APComm, added: “This is an exciting development for police communicators everywhere, whether they work in force or in the organisations that support the service. We look forward to a mutually beneficial future."
