INSTITUTE OF INTERNAL COMMUNICATION LAUNCHES NEW AWARDS

The Institute of Internal Communication (IoIC) has launched its 2011 awards programme, now known as ‘ICons’.

The IoIC says the new set of awards, which will replace the longstanding Communicator of the Year awards, are designed to “recognise the qualities in internal communications practitioners that make them stand out from the crowd, achieve outstanding results and make a real difference for their organisations”.

Entry is open until 5 Sepetember and there are 14 categories including: best in-house team, rising star, best line manager, best editor, writer and designer, and the internal communicator of the year. Entrants can submit their own entries or be nominated by someone from their own team or business.

Winners will receive their awards at a dinner on 17 November at the London Landmark Hotel.

Further details and an entry pack can be downloaded from www.ioic.org.uk.
