WANT TO TALK TO THE RIGHT JOURNALISTS? THERE'S AN APP FOR THAT (NOW)
A new Twitter application has launched that aims to bring PR professionals closer to the journalists, commentators and companies in their field through the Precise Media Platform.
TweetComms, developed by the media intelligence company Precise, is built on the agency’s researched lists of influential PR and journalist contacts.
Users’ Twitter accounts and live feeds will sync with the pre-researched lists to give PRs access to the contact profiles of journalists just by clicking on their tweets.
With 97% of journalists now using Twitter, according to recent stats, Precise has tapped into the accessibility granted by social media to public relations and communications specialists.
TweetComms is based on direct feedback from Precise’s clients, who wanted a platform to help them engage with the media. “The platform makes a real difference to PR’s day to day business activities,” comments Keir Fawcus, managing director of Precise. “TweetComms is a further extension of this to ensure that PRs are engaging with the right journalists and in real time on the issues that matter to them and their clients.”
