LAUNCH OF A NEW CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS STUDY

A new study has been launched by VMA Group, international resourcing specialist for corporate communications and HR. The Buisness Leaders in Communications Study 2012 aims not only to provide insight into corporate communications on the whole but also to give participants a picture of their own department.

The study designed by Mediatrack comprises a 20 minute survey open to the most senior communicator in each of the UK’s leading organisations. Already on board are directors of communications in FTSE organisations including BP, GlaxoSmithKline, PwC, and Rolls Royce.

David Bickerton, director of communications at BP, is supporting the study and says: “BLCS 2012 could be game-changing for the profession. For too long corporate communications professionals have sat at the boardroom table with little relevant hard data to evidence the importance of their function. This research will at long last provide senior corporate communicators with credible data that will help inform the future development of their function and credibility in the boardroom.”

The study findings will be launched at a VMA Group panel event on Tuesday 24 January 2012 which will be followed by a series of analysis breakfast events in London and Manchester.
