CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS SOLUTIONS COMPANY GLIDE TECHNOLOGIES ACQUIRED BY NASDAQ OMX

Glide Technologies, the corporate communications and reputation management solutions provider, has been bought by the NASDAQ OMX Group. The London-based SaaS provider will be incorporated into NASDAQ OMX's Corporate Solutions product suite.

Glide Technologies, founded by CEO Sam Phillips in 2003, offers communications solutions to large organisations - its client list currently includes Honda, John Lewis, and Three. NASDAQ OMX Group is the global exchange that operates markets around the world, as well as providing corporate communications technology, among other focuses.

This project is being branded as a first ever attempt to merge IR and PR platforms, allowing content management, monitoring and analysis of both. Glide Technologies claims to want to provide an online workflow tool for entire communications structures: the acquisition may be a step towards this.

Glide currently operates services such as GlideNewsroom, an online social media newsroom service that gathers together news and information about an organisation, GlideIntelligence, its media monitoring and evaluation tool, and GlideInsight, a polling tool. Sam Phillips has called the acquisition 'a hugely exciting and logical step' for Glide Technologies.
