TAKING PICTURES

They say a picture is worth a thousand words – but often corporate communicators are guilty of forgetting that maxim. When communicating with audiences, words may be vital but images also play an important role.

A new competition has been launched to recognise the part that photography plays in corporate communicators by the agency BergHind Joseph. The competition takes ‘leadership’ as its theme, a recurrent trope in communications materials, but one which BergHind Joseph hopes will inspire entrants.

“We believe that leadership is a combination of values, such as motivation, decisiveness, engagement and inspiration, which when combined makes that vital difference,” says Smith Joseph, joint creative director at BergHind Joseph.

Shortlisted entries will have their work exhibited in a London show, and the top prizes include photography vouchers and consultations with the BergHind Joseph creative team and a professional photographer. The deadline for entries is Friday 16 December.
