HUTCHINSON OF CMA RESIGNS AFTER 8 YEARS

The Content Marketing Association’s (CMA) Chief Operating Officer Julia Hutchinson announced her resignation on 10 August effective beginning in November.

During her eight-year tenure at the CMA, Hutchinson oversaw a spike in membership and helped to improve the reputation of the organisation. In June 2012, the CMA officially rebranded itself from the Association of Publishing Agencies (APA) to highlight the marketing aspect of its remit.

Hutcinson said at the time that the industry had changed since the establishment of the APA and the rebrand served to highlight that.

Claire Broadbent of Cedar Communications and chair of the CMA will oversee a committee charged with finding Hutchinson’s replacement. Broadbent says the role of COO may be altered in the future and the committee will discuss such potential changes.
