ANNUAL SUMMIT ON MEASUREMENT OF COMMS TO BE HELD IN MADRID
The Association for Measurement and Evaluation of Communication (AMEC) will hold its fifth annual European Summit on Measurement in Madrid on 5-7 June 2013. The summit will will highlight best practice for public relations and communications professionals.
Hotwire PR, the integrated PR and comms agency, is set to update its Hotwire Measurement Framework, a similar measurement system for public relations based on the AMEC framework. Executive director of AMEC, Barry Leggetter, says that Hotwire’s work is helping to prove the importance of measurement in the industry.
Last year’s summit featured speakers and workshops from around the communications industry and saw 200 delegates from 40 countries attend. This year in Madrid, the headline sponsor will be Acceso, a Spanish media evaluation company.
“Demonstrating the value of communication is a major challenge for professionals all over Europe,” Sergi Guillot, director general of Acceso, says. “Acceso is delighted to be the main sponsor of the European Summit. We know from our previous summit experience that this event is critically important at a time when interest in PR research and measurement has never been higher.”
Leggetter says the 2010 Barcelona edition of the annual summit produced new thinking that AMEC hopes to inspire again in Madrid.
