BIMA ANNOUNCES AWARDS SHORTLIST AT END OF SUMMER BASH

The British Interactive Media Association (BIMA) announced the shortlist for the 27th annual BIMA Awards at the BIMA End of Summer Bash held last night at LBi’s Brick Lane headquarters. The Premium categories for innovation, minor miracle, agency of the year and the grand prix winner, however are announced on 22 November, the night of the Awards.

1000heads nabbed four nominations for its ‘Say it with Skype’ partnership promoting Skype’s group video chat feature on Facebook. The OTHER media was shortlisted in a few categories for its work for Collins Dictionary, Wonders of the Universe and the V&A Museum’s website redesign. AKQA and Nike made a splash, as did the agency’s mobile app for publisher DK.

“The BIMA Awards provide UK digital with a showcase night like no other,” Bal Bhogal, BIMAs commercial director, says. “Companies wanting to get their message in front of over 1,000 of the industry’s biggest names and rising talent should get in touch to stake their claim, as last night’s fantastic event is just the beginning.”

BIMA’s digital focus allows it to honour the best in digital and integrated marketing campaigns across many industries. The awards were judged by a panel of 50. Last night’s party featured live acoustic sets from Columbia Records artists and was supported, in part, by Communicate.
