BOSTOCK BECOMES CHAIRMAN OF PR COUNCIL
The PRCA announced today that its the new 2012-13 chairman of the PR Council is Martin Bostock of the Nelson Bostock Group. Bostock succeeds Elisabeth Lewis-Jones of Liquid from his current position as vice-chairman of the Council.
Bostock’s role as vice-chair involved developing the PRCA’s Partnership Charter. The client consultancy guide is offers 10 points to assist in client/agency relations. The Charter was launched on 11 October at a PRCA event during the Communication Directors’ Forum. The document is intended to assure that consultancies deliver services as promised and clients see a return as promised.
Bostock says he was pleased to accept the position and take on the challenges the PR industry will be faced with in the coming months.
Francis Ingham, PRCA director general, says, “I’m delighted that this year’s Council will be chaired by Martin Bostock, who had already shown remarkable leadership qualities as Vice-Chairman last year, and I look forward to working with him on new Council initiatives. I would also like to thank Lis Lewis-Jones for her outstanding work as last year’s Chairman and leader of the PR Council’s project on ethics.”
Bostock’s successor as vice-chairman will be nominated by members of the Council and will then go on to chair the 2013-14 PR Council.
