NEW AWARDS PROGRAMME TO HONOUR BEST IN INTERNAL COMMS
The CIPR has launched a new awards programme to celebrate the best in internal communications. The #Inside Story awards will have eight categories catering to internal communications such as best employee engagement, best internal social media and best intranet.
CIPR Inside, which deals with internal communications, has launched the awards to address the growing relevance of internal comms and its growth within the communications industry.
Kevin Ruck, chair of CIPR Inside, says, “The awards will celebrate talent, share best practice, measure success and help us all to learn from the best. It’s an exciting development for our group too, as we have grown in numbers and professionalism, #Inside Story awards are recognition of the power of effective internal communications.”
Ruck says that engaged employees and internal communications has become one of the areas of focus for senior managers. Digital tools have helped ease the internal comms landscape in recent years. Britain’s internal comms industry has also experienced a period of high engagement during the Olympics. Sponsor and participant organisations such as Coca-Cola and GlaxoSmithKline saw huge spikes in engagement during London 2012 as internal comms became a focus of their Olympic efforts.
The entry deadline for the #Inside Story awards is 14 December and the awards will be held at the end of February.
