BENCHMARKING SURVEY OPEN TO IN-HOUSE COMMS DIRECTORS

Communicate, alongside the PRCA and YouGov, have launched the second annual in-house Benchmarking Survey to deduce performance indicators from communications directors.

The survey covers all issues relevant to in-house communications teams from the use of agencies to team management to key threats and opportunities. The survey provides the PRCA with useful signposts as to the industry's health and the chief issues concerning communications professionals.

Last year’s benchmarking survey polled 229 PRCA members from a variety of sectors and discussed the retention rate of staff and profitability of companies during the recession. The number one threat in 2011 was the economic downturn while constricting budgets was also of concern.

PRCA chief executive Francis Ingham says, ““We are delighted to be working with YouGov and Communicate Magazine to launch the next edition of our respected Benchmarking surveys. We were thrilled with the value the first publication provided to our members last year, and we will provide with YouGov an even higher standard of market intelligence this year.”

The survey is now open and results will be announced in early 2013.
