REGIONAL PR HONOURED ON CIPR SHORTLIST

The CIPR’s regional PR benchmarking programme is celebrating its 10th birthday with a round of 12 awards events across the UK.

The shortlist is comprised of a number of agencies, in-house teams and campaigns from Aberdeen to Kent and from Belfast to Cardiff. Awards are distributed across a number of disciplines

CIPR President Sue Wolstenhome says, “The CIPR PRide Awards celebrate the very best in public relations from across the UK’s regions and nations. This year’s entries were all of an incredibly high standard, highlighting the industry leading work that is taking place right across the UK.”

Liquid, one of the agencies recognised in the Midlands and Wessex & Channel Islands awards and nominated for outstanding public relations consultancy, is also up for an award for its measurement campaign for financial services company Hawksford. Liquid MD Jason MacKenzie said the Hawksford work involved a targeted media campaign among the professional services and communications trade press, a repositioning within the entrepreneurial sector and a keynote event at the House of Commons.

Liquid CEO Elisabeth Lewis-Jones says, "We're honoured to be shortlisted for five CIPR PRide Awards across both Wessex & Channel Islands and the Midlands region. Liquid has had a great year so far and we're hoping to build on the five awards we collected in the PRCA DARE Awards in June. We're especially pleased to be shortlisted for 'Outstanding Public Relations Consultancy' and for our campaigns for Hawksford. Both the CIPR and PRCA regional awards stimulate excellence outside of London. Good luck to everyone shortlisted!"

The consultancy also took home five PRCA DARE awards in last month's inaugural regional PR programme.

Tangerine PR, one of Manchester's most renwoned agencies, has been raking in the awards over the past years. It is nominated in the North West region and is up for the best consultancy award as well. Tangerine's work for DWF and Michelin, for which it is nominated, are two of its flagship B2B campaigns.

Sandy Lindsay, Tangerine’s founder and group MD, saysm “Hot on the heels of our recent CIPR national award, it’s fantastic to be recognised at our regional CIPR PRide Awards. Being shortlisted for Outstanding Public Relations Consultancy for what must be the eighth time in a row is something that never fails to make us proud. The CIPR awards are the most demanding in the industry and really set the benchmark for best practice, and it makes me exceptionally proud to see two of our B2B client campaigns – for DWF and Michelin - shortlisted for awards.”
