ESA AWARDS STILL OPEN FOR ENTRY

The annual European Sponsorship Association Excellence Awards are open for entry through the end of today. The awards benchmark the spectrum of sponsorship work across different sectors and types of project.

Last year’s winners highlighted the slew of work carried out for the London 2012 Olympic Games – everything from Cisco’s partnership with the Games to the P&G Thank You, Mum campaign took home awards. But more traditional sponsorships also received recognition. The O2 Academy Sponsorship, an ongoing collaboration since 2008, took home the Best of Europe Award.

The ESA sets the standards for European sponsorship and works to improve best practice and provide educational and informational support for companies engaging in sponsorships.

"Theres been a fantastic response to the Awards. We have seen entries from countries across Europe from Turkey to Sweden to Germany to the Uk. We're looking forward to the Awards ceremony which will celebrate the best in European sponsorship," Karen Earl, chairman of the ESA, says.

The Awards assess the business objectives, target audience and results of every campaign when determining winners.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony in London on 29 January.
