Earlier this month, the IVCA and Eventia officially merged to represent both the corporate video and live events industries. The 2014 edition of the IVCA Awards is open for entries until 15 January. 

The awards, now in their 26th year and held in association with drpgroup, will take place on 28 March at the Grosvener House Hotel in London. The awards benchmark the best in corporate video and disseminate awards based on technical merit, communications value and other aspects of video and production.

“This is an extremely important and poignant year for the ceremony as the first IVCA Awards to be delivered under the banner of the new Eventia-IVCA Association," Dale Parmenter, Eventia-IVCA chairman and drpgroup managing director, says. "The evening this year will be a real celebration of the communications industry as a whole and will also reveal some exciting new initiatives that Eventia-IVCA will be delivering in the coming year. We’ve added some new categories to reflect the changing face of the industry and the association’s new goals, including a dedicated category for apps as well as the inaugural IVCA Awards production company of the year.

Parmenter adds, "As MD of the drpgroup, we’ve always felt it an extremely important event to support and even more so now with the formation of the new association. It’s the perfect evening for industry professionals, freelance, agency and corporate to come together and network. It’s also a fantastic opportunity for them to see the best examples of work our industry has to offer from the past eighteen months. “

Last year's Grand Prix winner was Streaming Tank for its work with Topshop. Other notable winners included The Edge Picture Company, Straker Films and Pretzel Films – all with two gold awards apiece.
