CORPORATE COLLABORATION CELEBRATED AT AWARDS

The industry’s headline event for business partnerships with a purpose is now accepting entries. The Corporate Engagement Awards, now in its fifth year, recognises businesses that have improved their reputation through collaboration with other companies and organisations.

The awards recognise the partnerships and sponsorships that helped promote, support and grow a corporate brand or brands. Past winners include agencies, businesses, non-profits or any organisation with a brand that has benefitted from a recent partnership or collaboration. Some of the available categories include ‘Best sponsorship activity to raise brand awareness’, ‘Best collaborative approach’ and ‘Best alignment of brand values through a sponsorship activity’.

Jane Chambers, senior development manager at the National Portrait Gallery who was one of the judges at last year’s awards says, “The 2014 award judging was a very enjoyable process as such a wide range and high calibre of applications was received. The panel discussions were informed, insightful and engaging, and I learned a great deal about the fantastic work many companies around the world are undertaking in support of local communities.”

The awards programme regularly receives creative and innovative campaigns that illustrate the power of a well-aligned partnership. Last year’s Grand Prix-winning campaign was delivered by social innovation agency, Cospa. It was supported by two key corporate partners, building contractor Keepmoat and Mears, plus a number of other cross-sector organisations. The campaign gave young people the opportunity to learn trade and building skills that would have a direct, positive impact on their local community, but it also showed how the organisations behind the project were invested in their community.

The winners will be announced at an event held in September 2015, last year’s host was Ade Adepitan, Paralympic athlete and television presenter. The awards programme is now accepting entries for 2015, entries made before the 14 May 2015 will receive a £100 discount. The final deadline will be on the 11 June 2015.
