10TH ANNUAL DIGITAL IMPACT AWARDS SHORTLIST ANNOUNCED
In 2010, Android software was first developed, the iPad was released and Kickstarter first came to fruition. In the 10 years since, the Digital Impact Awards has recognised excellence in strategic digital communications across the UK and Europe. This year is no different, as the programme announces the 2019 shortlist.
The Digital Impact Awards is the UK’s largest celebration of digital work in corporate communications. This year’s shortlist showcases some of the best and most creative digital communications from every sector and industry.
One of the most hotly contested categories was the ‘Best use of online video’ which features Facebook, HSBC, Pokemon and more competing for the gold award. In the ‘Best digital employee communications’ category, RBS, AstraZeneca, Heathrow Airport and others were shortlisted by the judges. This year, the categories determining who showcases the best use of digital in each sector have been particularly competitive. As is generally the case, the ‘Best use of digital from a charity, NGO or not-for-profit’ was a competitive category, but joining it this year are other sectors in which companies are hoping to be named the best among their peers.
Each entry is examined by the Digital Impact Awards’ panel of expert judges and considered based on the entry criteria. This year’s judging panel featured communications professionals from companies like EDF Energy, the V&A Museum, the Church of England, Rolls-Royce, HSBC and Barclays, among others.
Brittany Golob, publishing editor of Communicate magazine, says, “I'm excited to celebrate the winners at the 10th annual Digital Impact Awards. It has been wonderful to see how best practice in strategic digital communications has developed since we launched the awards in 2010. It is clear that digital has become a core element of every organisation's communications strategy, with many focusing on innovation and creativity to achieve the best results. Best of luck to everyone on the shortlist!"
The winners will be celebrated at a gala dinner on 22 October in London. Book your place at the awards now.
